12-Lead ECG Course

The 12-Lead ECG course is a half-day hands-on workshop covering how to record a good quality ECG, placing the leads and electrodes in correct positions, basic 12-lead ECG interpretation and rhythm recognition. Suitable for: Nurses, paramedics from ward areas, clinics, remote and rural areas. Pre-requisite for attendance: Recent employment in a clinical environment. Continuing education:

  • NMBA: 4 CPD points for nurses & midwives

Anatomical land marks for normal and alternative electrode placement
State the reasons for recording a 12 lead ECG
Information represented on an ECG tracing
The views that are obtained from each lead
4 hour instruction by an accredited Australian Resuscitation Council Advanced Life Support instructor
Small group teaching – max. group size 8
Hands on practice
