The service will ensure that your employees are given the best possible care early in the injury cycle which can significantly reduce the likelihood of any Lost Time Injuries. We will provide your Injury Management team with full support with our key goal of early return to work which can lower workers compensation premiums.

The Med Response WIMS Division;

Is a company that can see a claim through to the end
Is a company that has employees with medical training (Ambulance, Paramedic, Registered Nurse & Enrolled Nurse).
Key staff are certified Injury Management Coordinators.
Will provide all essential employee support on behalf of the company at any location (national and international) to ensure legislative requirements are met.
Will provide a ‘Pick-up and drop off’ service from initial contact – Workplace, Airport or health care facility.
Will provide ongoing transport services to-and-from all follow up medical appointments.
Will liaise with the company representative upon initial booking to ensure we have a full understanding of the injured employee’s position description and available return to work light/restricted duties.
We will provide company representation at the medical appointment to ensure consistency of information.
We will provide the company a detailed report of all attended appointments.
We will provide the company with a return to work program, any restrictions, follow up appointments, dates and times. If requested, we will also complete this on the company’s own forms.
The employee will be provided with a first class service that will facilitate an easy process to return to full health.
The company will be represented at all medical appointments to ensure any and all specific request are relayed to the medical practitioner.
For emergency cases that may involve the RFDS, we will meet the employee at the designated hospital to provide reassurance and any assistance – communication with family, arrange personal items or in the event of discharge, provide transport home.
For emergency cases, we will ensure we obtain a first medical certificate from hospital staff. This will eliminate any delay in company and insurance processing.
We will provide onsite medical and injury management support for both the metro and regional areas.

WIMS

Metro Response Service

Our Metropolitan service will respond and provide immediate on-site assessment and treatment to all non-emergency work related injuries. For all emergency related injuries, call ‘000’. Our commitment to your organisation is to provide onsite essential medical services, or even a second opinion to support your onsite first aid services and attempt to “treat and release” onsite. We even have the ability to communicate direct with your company health service provider (i.e. RediMed, Sonic Health, Medibank Health Solutions etc.) to provide specific treatment. This service aims to PROMOTE employee’s quick return to full health. If the injury requires medical treatment or examination by a medical practitioner, Med Response will provide transport 24/7 to a medical provider of choice. We will remain with the employee and provide all essential support services as listed above or provide a professional transfer back to your Injury Management Coordinator along with all necessary documentation to assist with the early injury and return to work management back to the workplace.

WIMS

Rural Response Service

Our Rural service will provide onsite support where our medic can fly to your company, receive a site handover and escort the employee back to Perth for further medical assessment and treatment in accordance with the services listed above. We have the ability to maintain any medical treatment that has commenced onsite including but not limited to;

  1. Pain management
  2. IV fluids
